“L’homme propose, Dieu dispose”: When Self Intention Encounters Divine Plan

“”View of stars across space, symbolizing how self-intention meets a greater divine plan.”

Exploring the powerful shift that happens when personal will aligns with a greater, unseen wisdom.

We make plans. We visualize. We set intentions with all the clarity and awareness we have.

We journal our desires, set aligned goals, do the inner healing. We rewire our mind after letting go of the limiting beliefs.

We prepare. We show up. We propose. We take inspired actions.

And still, life happens differently.

Expected results become unexpected. A door we were sure would open… just closes. The opportunity we gave our heart to… disappears. The timing we trusted… drifts into delay.

And we ask ourselves: “Why?”

That’s when the deeper lesson begins: the sacred space where self-will meets soul-wisdom.

This is the dance between what I want and what’s meant for me.

This post is about the space between your will and the Divine’s will.

We’ll explore how to walk it with grace and openness instead of resistance and overwhelm.

The path leading you where you are meant to be.

1. Understand the Two Forces: Intention vs. Alignment

Why it matters:

Your desire to create is not wrong. Your plans are not a problem.

But know that when you meet resistance or redirection, it’s not a punishment. It’s a pause for deeper alignment.

Intention is the spark. Alignment is the wind.

How to apply this:

Set clear intentions, but dont get attached to them. Say to yourself : “I’m detached to the outcome”

Ask yourself often: “Is this aligned with my deeper truth, or is it just what my mind thinks is safest?”

Practice: “If not this, then there’s something even more aligned.”

Make room for mystery, for the unknown. You don’t need to know the how, just what’s next.

2. Surrender Isn’t About Giving Up: It’s Allowing Things To Happen On Its Own.

Why it matters:

Most of us were taught to fight, push, compete and strive. But the soul often whispers, “Wait.”

Surrender is not weakness. It’s strength that trusts the unseen. And the belief or faith in the unknown.

When you let go of micromanaging life, you allow Divine Intelligence to move. With you and for you.

How to apply this:

Pause when things feel heavy or extremely complicated.

Ask: “Is this resistance or redirection?”

Step away. Breathe. Create a void. Let clarity find you.

Remember: surrender is not stopping. It’s allowing the shift into trust.

3. Redirection Is Often Divine Protection

Why it matters:

You prayed for growth. For an upgrade. You asked for alignment.

But what if the No’s are part of that answer?

What if what you thought you wanted would have cost you more or cause you more harm than good?

How to apply this:

Reflect on a time when something didn’t go your way, be grateful and thank it.

Journal: “What could this rejection be saving me from or preparing me for?

Let life be wiser than your plans.

Even closed doors serve a purpose.

4. Trust the Choreography And Dance With The Universe.

Why it matters:

There’s a rhythm beneath everything: the missed calls, the missed opportunity, the late emails, the changed minds.

Control comes from fear. Trust comes from deeper knowing.

You’re not creating alone. Life is co-writing your path. And that is Power.

Sun breaking through clouds, signifying clarity after surrender.

How to apply this:

• Replace urgency with presence.

Practice: “I don’t need to know the ending to trust this scene.”

Pay attention to what flows and what doesn’t. That’s feedback, not failure.

5. Let Intention Lead, But Let Wisdom Decide

Why it matters:

“Now I’m creating a life that reflects trust, not control”.

Desire is sacred. But obsession is only the fear dressed up as focus.

When you act from peace, not panic, you are opening space for divine timing to work with you and not against you.

How to apply this:

• List your top 3 desires/intentions.

• For each, write: “This or something better, in divine timing, it is happening.”

• Keep taking aligned steps, but don’t grasp the outcome.

• Let your soul breathe in between the actions taken.

Final Thought:

The Space Between Will and Wisdom

You are not powerless. Your power was never meant to fight the universe, it was meant to flow with it.

Cactus plant growing with a purpose through cracked earth, representing resilience and divine timing.

The truest courage is not in forcing what you want. Its in trusting what unfolds, even when it’s not your initial plan.

Because that’s where the real miracles happen.

In the pause. In the pivot. In the sacred in-between.

What’s one moment where life didn’t go as planned, but turned out better than expected?

Share it in the comments.

I’d love to witness your wisdom.
