Ever felt like two voices are fighting in your head?
One says, “You’re capable. Keep going.”
The other whispers, “Why bother? You’ll fail.”
This inner conflict is something every person working on confidence and personal growth faces.
Years ago, I felt trapped between those two voices every Monday morning—overwhelmed by self-doubt, drained before the week even started.
That’s when I came across an old story that changed how I lead my life, my mindset, and my mission as a coach.
‐–
A Cherokee elder tells his grandson:
“Inside me, there are two wolves. One is full of fear, anger, doubt, and scarcity. The other is full of joy, confidence, love, and hope. They battle constantly.”
“Which one wins?” the boy asks.
“The one you feed,” replies the elder.

‐‐‐
That hit me like lightning.
I realized: every thought I nurture feeds one wolf or the other—and shapes my resilience.
Here’s how I consciously feed the right wolf—and how you can master your mindset to start this week strong.
—
1. Spot the Wolf You’re Feeding
Why it matters: You can’t change what you don’t notice. Recognizing which wolf you’re feeding is the first step toward growth.
How to apply this: Each morning, pause and ask: “Which wolf am I feeding right now?”
Right now, as you read this— which wolf has had more of your attention today?– Write down 1 thought you want to stop feeding, and 1 you want to grow. This is where empowered thinking begins.
—
2. Choose Power Thoughts
Why it matters: Thoughts compound. Feeding the positive wolf even once a day builds unstoppable momentum and strengthens your confidence.
Real-life outcome:
When I intentionally fed the confident wolf last year, I finally launched my signature coaching program—something I’d procrastinated on for 8 months. That one shift led to 3 paid clients within 30 days.
How to apply this:
Start a ‘Power Thought’ list. Add 3 empowering beliefs you want to reinforce this week.– Read them aloud every morning (yes, out loud—let your nervous system hear them).–
Example: “I am ready and fully capable of serving high-impact clients this week.”

—
3. Starve the Doubt Wolf
Why it matters: You don’t have to “fight” the negative wolf. You simply need to stop feeding it—and that’s how you overcome self-doubt effectively.
Real-life outcome:
When I stopped feeding the doubt wolf, I confidently reached out to 5 potential clients in one week—and signed 2 of them. That action alone added $4,000 in revenue. That’s the power of an empowered mindset in action.
How to apply this:
When doubt creeps in, say (silently or out loud): “Not feeding you today.”– Replace it instantly with a Power Thought from your list. This is how you rewire limiting beliefs fast.
—
Final Thought
You don’t have to silence the negative wolf forever. You just need to feed the confident one more often.
Consistency wins this mindset battle—not perfection.Every time you choose an empowering thought, you are actively building resilience and confidence for your business and life.
